• Most of our Programs require prospective students to have a High School Diploma or GED, except CNA Review that that does not require you to have a High School Diploma or GED.

HIHS does not guarantee a job. But, we promise placement assistance which consists of guidance and resources afforded to all graduates and alumni whether you are a recent graduate or someone who completed our program previously.

We provide professional career development classes that are scheduled towards the end of your coursework and will allow students to prepare the tools necessary to complete a portfolio with items such as a Resume and Cover Letter in addition to practicing crucial interviewing skills.

• Payment options are available for all students to assist in either budgeting or financing your education. You will meet with a Financial Aid Representative who will discuss with you all of your options and work with you to determine a suitable installment plan.

No, we don’t currently offer financial aid. However, we do offer flexible payment plans, as mentioned above. Also, for those students who qualify, the School works with Meritize Financial Inc. to help them fund their program (s) with non-traditional student loans. Pre-approval only takes minutes, and, for many programs, payments may be fully deferred until you finish your training. Some borrowers may also elect to make interest-only or even full payments while in school. It’s your choice! We accept most forms of payment i.e. credit or debit card, money order or cashier’s check. But, we do not accept personal check.

• Hair should be neat, clean
• Hair should be styled off the face and out of the eyes
• Shoulder length hair must be secured to avoid interference with patients and work
• Avoid scarves or ribbons (unless culturally appropriate)
• Beards/mustaches must be neatly trimmed

Jewelry

• Keep jewelry at a minimum because it represents potential for cross-infection

Dress, Shoes and Hand Care

• Clothing should be clean, professionally styled and in good repair
• Shoes should be worn with socks or hose
• Fingernails should be clean and of short to medium length

The Following Items Are Specifically Prohibited

• Sandals or open toed shoes, high-heeled or canvas shoes (blood or needles may penetrate the fabric)
• Midriff tops, tee shirts, halter, translucent or transparent tops, shorts or tops with plunging necklines, tank tops or sweatshirts

We do not provide transportation and childcare, but can share valuable resources that can guide those in need of these services. We have a Student Coordinator who works in the best interest of the student to provide advice, recommendations and direction throughout their tenure.

Upon completion of all of your coursework within the policies and guidelines written in the student handbook, students will graduate and receive a Certificate of Completion from their program of study.

Transcript will be released once all financial obligations have been satisfied. Once all financial obligations have been met, you can request to receive a copy of your transcript by Email, or you can pick up your transcript in a sealed/stamped envelope at school, or request that your transcript is mailed in a sealed/stamped envelope to the address you provide in your Email with a request for a transcript.

Please be aware that most institutions will accept a transcript only in a sealed envelope.

Fees to receive your Transcript:

By email – $25

In sealed envelope at school – $35

In sealed envelope by mail – $40

After you submit a payment to receive your Transcript at school, you will receive a confirmation email within 1-2 business days when you can pick up your transcript at school.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE A COPY OF MY GRADUATION CERTIFICATE?

You can receive a copy of your graduation certificate if you do not have any open balance in your tuition account (your tuition is paid off).

Pay a fee $25 for a copy of your Graduation Certificate and pick it up at school or receive it by Email

Pay a fee $35 to receive a copy of your Graduation Certificate by mail.

You can make all payments via our web site.

You can also mail a payment to us or come in person to make a payment at school.

HIHS is not currently authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to accept M-1 International students and to create I-20 documents in the SEVIS (Student Exchange Visitors Information System).
